Thick & large diameter liner flange

This 1.875 dia X .200 thick liner lip stabilizes the .100 thick liner wall in the upper critical area at operating temperatures. The piston travels .100 deep into the area of the liner lip when at TDC. Wear patterns indicate this area is stabilized even with the irregular temperatures that are present. THIS IS BECAUSE THE ENTIRE LINER LIP IS MECHANICALLY FASTENED BETWEEN THE HEAD & THE CRANKCASE!! I also found the cooling in this area was greatly improved as a direct result of the increase in the liner lip area. Is this very important feature found on any production motor? YES!!!! Is this feature used by anyone besides myself? YES!!!! Several foreign world record holding tether car racers use this feature on .60 as well as .09 size motors. It is also used by one well known engine manufacturer (Henry Nelson) on his .90 size ducted fan motor.
